Radox shower gel review

Okay first of all, apologies that my first review is a slightly negative one but I am kind of at fault for this. Whilst looking for toiletries (in Asda) a few days ago I came across a whole stand of radox shower gels all with little yellow £1 stickers which immediately caught my attention..

Sorry for the internet image, mine's in the shower right now..

Considering the bottles hold 250ml this is a very generous price for what it is yet it seems that I got a bit overwhelmed with the amount of choice I had.. woops.

The corally pink colour of the limited edition 'Eastern spirit' gel caught my eye so in the trolly it went! When I came to use this product in the shower though I was a bit disappointed. I'm not an expert at describing smells but the bottle describes it as 'delicate lotus flower and orange blossom'. Admittedly I couldn't tell you what a lotus flower smells like but there was definitely an overwhelming scent of bitter orange; definitely not delicate!

When it comes to shower gels, scents are obviously something I base my purchases around and so the overpowering orange smell put me off completely. The gel did lather up really well though and once out of the shower it left a softer scent on my skin so I would definitely consider purchasing this product in a different scent, escpecially whilst it's being sold for £1! :)

Can't sleep

Ever since I finished for summer my sleeping pattern has been so messed up. It's now a routine for me to wake up, get my phone and scroll through Twitter till half 4 in the morning..

Nail polish obsession

All 112 polishes.. oops

I think it's safe to say I own one too many polishes.. I'm a sucker for nail trends and I always fall in love with new colours and designs. These include Ciate's nail caviar and Nail inc. with their leather look polish; items which still remain on my wishlist.

I try to avoid spending too much on nail polish waiting till brands have deals on that I can take advantage of. This 'stinginess' on my part means I often have to get creative.. it's been known for me to scour ebay for craft beads so that I can recreate the caviar trend.

The most luxurious nail polish I own is my Chanel   'Peridot' polish. This was given to me as a birthday gift by my auntie as peridot is my birth stone and I love it. It's the closest I've got to the perfect holographic polish and I can't even explain how amazing the colour is, It's one of those ones that change constantly in the light.

Chanel's Peridot with the flash on. Doesn't look as gold in daylight.

I never last long without caving and buying another colour which has given me a bit of a reputation.. I'm always the go-to person with both family and friends if anyone needs their nails doing!

My first post..

This is my first blog post and so I'm not really sure what direction I'm going to go in with this blog. Hopefully I can post beauty reviews/hauls/nail designs and pretty much the stuff that I look for when reading people's blogs. :)
I recently completed sixth form and so I'm a bit unsure of what to do with myself and making a blog is an idea that I've been toying with for a while.. I really enjoy reading other people's lifestyle/beauty blogs and if anyone reads this I would love to get any tips on any of my posts or even how to improve this page:)
Thanks for reading!
